Hunt Clinic

It is always a very unique day for anyone who has never done this before. The clinic will be held at one of our private cattle ranch fixtures. Ride over this beautiful desert country on horseback with the purpose of a chase (not a catch). It can get exciting and you’ll find your horse gets into the game too. Please arrive early around 9 a.m. to be sure you and your horse are prepared to leave by 10 a.m. A hunt is always prompt. There will be lots of people there to help you get ready. The riding portion of the day will probably be 2 hours and is formed into 3 groups. First field is a fast group with jumping. Second field is a moderate to fast group with no jumping. Third field is called Hilltoppers which is a walk and trot group catering to the slowest rider. This last group is suggested for horses who are not comfortable with the excitement of a group of horses moving off at a pace. This is traditionally an English sport but we really encourage Western riders to try it. Helmets are required. For more information email debrahuett@mac.com.
